This picture is based on the poetry of "The Servant Welcomes, the Child Waits for the Door", depicting the joyful scene of the reunion of the family when the poet returns home, and the scribe with the turban on the right side of the picture is Tao Yuanming. Tao Yuanming (c. 365–427), courtesy name Qian, courtesy name Yuanliang, was a great-grandson of Tao Kan, known as Mr. Jingjie, a native of Chaisang, Xunyang (present-day Jiujiang, Jiangxi). He wrote "Return to the Grave", which expresses the spiritual pursuit of being clean and self-respecting and not being in harmony with the world. [Original text ] |
